Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Framer Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. Your expertise in framing, carpentry skills, and interpreting construction plans will ensure that projects are built safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to accurately execute framing projects.
- Construct wood and metal frameworks for walls, floors, roofs, and other structural components using hand tools and power tools.
- Install rebar reinforcement within concrete forms to ensure structural integrity.
- Execute masonry tasks such as plastering, stucco application, and siding installation as needed for project completion.
- Operate heavy equipment safely for site preparation and material handling while maintaining awareness of surroundings.
- Measure dimensions accurately using tape measures and other tools; perform dimensional measurements for proper fit and alignment.
- Manage heavy lifting tasks efficiently with proper techniques to ensure safety and quality workmanship.
- Collaborate with construction management teams to interpret technical drawings and follow project timelines diligently.
- Install trim carpentry elements, siding, and perform remodeling tasks to enhance building aesthetics and functionality.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards throughout each phase of construction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on framing carpentry; metal building erection experience is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and understanding construction plans.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and other carpentry equipment.
- Skilled in concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work including plastering and stucco application.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely when required for site preparation or material handling.
- Familiarity with welding techniques related to metal framing or structural components is a plus.
- Excellent physical condition with the ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or in confined spaces.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and project estimations; attention to detail is essential.
- Construction management awareness to coordinate tasks effectively within team environments.
- Prior experience in siding installation, remodeling projects, or working with dimensional measurements enhances your candidacy.
