American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience in cardiac cath, EP, IR, and neuro interventional procedures for a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma hospital in Alaska.

Work setting is a 407-bed acute care hospital that is a Magnet Facility, Level II Trauma Center, and USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska

Cardiac Cath Lab unit performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath, STEMI, IABP, Impella, Tandem Heart, and structural heart procedures (PFO, TAVR, MitraClip)

Interventional Radiology procedures include lines, drains, embolizations, upper/lower extremity interventions, fistulas, visceral angio/intervention, and stroke thrombectomy
-
Additional procedure areas include neurointervention and CRM device implants
-
4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
-
Some Saturdays are required as part of the regular 4-shift weekly schedule, not as additional shifts

On-call required 1 shift per week and every 4th weekend
-
May float to IR, EP, or affiliate hospitals within the state

Charting system is Epic (experience required)

Minimum 2 years of experience in Cath Lab, EP, IR, and neuro interventional procedures

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and either ARRT (R) or RCIS
-
EP, IR, vascular, hemodynamic monitoring, and neuro interventional experience required
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
-
2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration

SSN and DOB required for consideration

Copy of certifications required for consideration

License required if applicable — must be active at time of consideration

Hepatitis B vaccination required; titers and declinations are not accepted

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Preferred skills include CTO, peripheral interventions, venous access, rhythm interpretation, temporary LVAD support, and experience with a variety of atherectomy and thrombectomy devices

Preferred equipment experience includes Philips X-Ray System, McKesson for Cath Lab, and MacLab/Cardio Lab for EP
-
Scrubs are provided

Traveler must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's

Time off is approved on an individual basis; only 1 RTO request is permitted per 13-week assignment

Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for a minimum of 3 months before returning as a traveler
-
Travelers may work a maximum of 1 calendar year at this facility before a minimum 6-month break is required before returning
-
Refusal to float between facilities within the state may result in termination of assignment
