Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as piggyback, forklifts or roll-off trucks, adhering to safety protocols.
- Execute piggyback deliveries by securing containers onto flatbeds or trailers efficiently and securely.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify truck condition, report any issues promptly, and maintain vehicle safety standards.
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations during route driving and delivery operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, load manifests, inspection reports, and route logs for compliance purposes.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with endorsements for manual transmission vehicles.
- Proven experience operating tractor-trailers with manual gearboxes in a commercial setting.
- Demonstrated ability to load & unload freight safely using piggyback or other equipment.
- Strong knowledge of route driving best practices and safety procedures for freight transportation.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy loads and working in various weather conditions.

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
