Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our Grounds Crew team in a full-time capacity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of our outdoor spaces. This role requires a commitment to excellence and a passion for working outdoors, ensuring that our grounds are well-kept and inviting for all visitors.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine landscaping tasks, including mowing, trimming, edging, and planting.
- Maintain flower beds, shrubs, trees, and other plant life by watering, fertilizing, and pruning as necessary.
- Clear debris, litter, and leaves from walkways, parking lots, and other outdoor areas.
- Operate and maintain various landscaping equipment and tools, including lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools.
- Monitor the health of plants and report any issues, such as pest infestations or diseases, to the supervisor.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects and tasks efficiently.
- Participate in seasonal projects, including snow removal, leaf collection, and other weather-related maintenance.
- Provide excellent customer service while interacting with visitors and addressing any concerns regarding the grounds.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance is a plus.
- Knowledge of plant species, horticulture practices, and landscape maintenance techniques.
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
