About the Role
We are a fast-moving CPG/food science consulting team looking for a sharp, proactive local coordinator in Portland. You aren't just checking off task lists. You’ll be a core unblocker who thinks critically, communicates confidently with clients and vendors, and keeps projects moving across the finish line.
What You’ll Do
- Outreach & Vetting: Call lists of co-packers and manufacturers to pitch project parameters and evaluate capability/fit.
- Client & Team Communication: Listen to voice-memo brainstorms, distill key decisions, and draft clear, professional updates for clients, vendors, and contractors.
- Local Logistics: Run local errands in the Portland area (picking up ingredient samples from the post office/suppliers, handling shipping, etc.).
- In-Person Working Sessions: Meet 2 times a week for in-person alignment sessions to organize priorities and clear decision bottlenecks.
Who You Are
- A Proactive Communicator: Professional, confident, and persuasive on the phone and over email.
- A Problem Solver: You have strong common sense, notice when things don't add up, and ask smart questions before problems escalate.
- Local & Mobile: Based in the Portland metro area with a reliable vehicle for occasional local sample runs (mileage reimbursed).
- Ideal For: Smart, resourceful college students, recent grads, or junior operators looking to gain hands-on experience in the food/beverage and CPG industry.
