Job Description
The Logistics (Shipping, Receiving & Inventory) Specialist ensures the accurate, timely, and secure movement of all AV equipment, materials, and consumables that support installation, service, and production teams. This role is hands‑on and fast‑paced, requiring strong technical awareness, exceptional organization, and the ability to support multiple projects simultaneously.
This position is a critical operational hub—connecting procurement, project management, engineering, and field technicians to the equipment they need to execute flawlessly.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping & Receiving
- Receive, inspect, and verify all inbound shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Document discrepancies, damages, and shortages; coordinate resolutions with vendors.
- Prepare outbound shipments (parcel, LTL, freight, and international) with accurate labeling and documentation.
- Maintain shipping logs, tracking numbers, and delivery confirmations.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate, real‑time inventory counts using the company’s ERP or inventory system.
- Perform cycle counts and full physical inventory audits.
- Track serial numbers, asset tags, and warranty information for high‑value AV equipment.
- Manage consumables, cables, tools, and project‑specific materials.
Project & Field Team Support
- Stage and kit equipment for installation and service projects.
- Ensure technicians receive complete, labeled, and organized gear before deployment.
- Coordinate urgent shipments or last‑minute equipment needs.
- Communicate proactively with Project Managers regarding equipment readiness and shortages.
Warehouse Operations
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse layout.
- Organize shelves, bins, and project staging areas.
- Oversee RMA processing, warranty returns, and vendor repairs.
- Support fleet, tool, and asset management as needed.
Vendor & Carrier Coordination
- Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers and freight partners.
- Negotiate rates when appropriate.
- Resolve delivery issues, claims, and delays.
Skills & Qualifications
Required
- 3–5 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory roles (AV, IT hardware, or construction preferred).
- Strong understanding of technical equipment handling, including networking gear, cameras, DSPs, and cabling.
- Experience with ERP or inventory systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage, D‑Tools, or similar).
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and operate warehouse equipment.
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑moving, project‑driven environment.
Preferred
- Experience in AV integration, low‑voltage, or technology‑heavy industries.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.
- Knowledge of international shipping requirements and customs documentation.
- Familiarity with BOMs, rack builds, and AV project workflows.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
