About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Production Planner II to join our manufacturing team in Beverly, MA. In this role, you'll be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities to ensure customer orders are delivered on time while maximizing production efficiency.
The ideal candidate has experience working in a manufacturing environment, is comfortable using ERP systems, and enjoys collaborating with operations, customer service, purchasing, and suppliers to keep production running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule production to meet customer delivery commitments.
- Release and manage work orders through the ERP system.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust priorities based on demand and capacity.
- Update purchase orders, sales orders, and customer promise dates.
- Track production backlogs and provide accurate shipping and delivery updates.
- Expedite high-priority and overdue orders by coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.
- Partner with Operations, Purchasing, and Customer Service to resolve scheduling and material issues.
- Maintain accurate planning data and production records.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired
- Associate degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing planning experience.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Preferred
- Experience in aerospace, defense, electronics, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- APICS/CPIM certification is a plus.
- Experience balancing production capacity, material availability, and customer demand.
