Job Description for Dietetic Technician
Responsibilities include:
1. Taking and recording vitals & weights from clients on morning shift
2. Assisting RD with ordering meals, grocery shopping, cooking/ prepping/ plating breakfast, lunch & snacks.
3. Having a strong working knowledge of the dietary food exchange system and plating meals according to the client’s meal plans.
4. Identifying eating disorder behaviors, redirecting and supporting clients with these behaviors.
5. Charting progress notes on each client’s behaviors during meals in KIPU.
6. Meal support-including providing support for eating disorder clients at meals, set up and clean up, assisting dietitian and other dietetic techs in ensuring appropriate meals free of allergens for clients
7. Eating meals and snacks with clients throughout the day including a variety of foods without disordered eating behaviors.
Preferred Qualification include:
1 year Dietary Experience
Serv Safe Certification
CPR First Aid Certification
Vital Signs
