Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Solar Installer to join our dynamic renewable energy team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation of photovoltaic (solar) systems on various types of structures, including rooftops and ground-mounted sites. Your expertise will help accelerate the transition to clean energy by ensuring that solar systems are installed according to industry standards, electrical codes, and safety procedures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors on innovative projects that make a real difference for communities and the environment.
Responsibilities
- Install photovoltaic solar systems on rooftops and ground-mounted sites following blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Read electrical blueprints and schematics to accurately connect wiring, fixtures, inverters, and other system components.
- Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and safety equipment to perform installations efficiently while adhering to electrical safety procedures.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems using diagnostic tools to identify faults or issues with photovoltaic or electrical components.
- Ensure all work complies with NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 standards, and NFPA 70E safety regulations for electrical safety procedures.
- Coordinate with construction teams on site to ensure seamless integration of roofing, electrical wiring, and system mounting.
- Conduct quality inspections of installed systems to verify proper operation and adherence to project specifications.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a solar technician or in electrical installation roles, preferably with commercial electrician experience.
- Strong knowledge of high voltage, low voltage systems, and electrical diagnostics related to photovoltaic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately.
- Hands-on experience with fixture installation, troubleshooting electrical systems, and working with power tools.
- Construction site experience with roofing or outdoor work environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with NEC standards, NFPA 70 compliance, and electrical safety procedures is essential.
- Valid experience in working with photovoltaic system installation onshore renewable energy projects.
- Ability to use ladders safely and work at heights on rooftops or elevated structures.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on troubleshooting electrical issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Pay: $26.21 - $35.00 per hour
