Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Clerk
Nesbitt Contracting Co., Inc. is looking for an accounts payable and accounts receivable clerk.
Responsibilities:
- Utilizing software to process accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Process all types of accounts payable invoices, including subcontractor pay apps with retention
- Process all accounts receivable-related transactions for a large construction company, including retentions
- Preparing Excel spreadsheets
- Contacting foremen/superintendents and project managers regarding data
- Learning other accounting functions through cross training within the accounting group
Requirements:
- Must be very detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy
- Must be familiar with job cost entries
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Effectively learn to process monthly pay apps and transactions in accounts receivable
- Effectively learn to process subcontractor pay apps for accounts payable
- Willing to work as part of a team to complete tasks
- Knowledge of construction accounting is helpful
- Bilingual is a plus but not required
- A clean MVR and drug test are required
