Job Overview
The Working Mitigation Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day mitigation operations, including job scheduling, crew management, equipment deployment, and quality control. This role ensures jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with IICRC standards and company protocols. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage a team effectively while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate restoration projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Manage a team of technicians, providing training and support in cleaning, restoration techniques, and safety protocols.
- Oversee fire restoration, water damage restoration, and mold remediation projects, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Conduct site assessments to determine the scope of work required for each project.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in various restoration tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, and labor hours.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with health and safety regulations to protect team members and clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on project status and address any concerns.
- Monitor job costs and profitability in conjunction with the office team
- Respond to after-hours emergency calls on a rotating basis
- Must have experience training junior techs
- Must have experience in mitigation claims software
- Dedicated customer service
- Meet client and adjustor on site for resolution
- Clear daily goals and weekly meetings
- Verify dry logs, create scope of work sheets
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in restoration or mitigation (water/fire/mold)
- IICRC certifications (WRT required; ASD, AMRT a plus)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Willing to learn restoration software (e.g., Xactimate, MICA, DASH)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments
- Available for on-call rotation including nights/weekends as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Base Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
