Job Summary
Great Lakes Facility Management are is seeking a motivated and dependable part-time Janitorial Associate to join our team on the third shift. This energetic role is perfect for individuals who take pride in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments. As a key contributor to our facilities, you will ensure that all areas are kept spotless and well-maintained during the overnight hours, supporting a positive experience for staff and visitors alike. This position offers flexible hours and an opportunity to develop valuable custodial skills in a dynamic setting.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks across various areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using commercial cleaning equipment and supplies
- Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and other floor care techniques to ensure a polished appearance
- Restock supplies such as paper products, hand soap, and cleaning materials to ensure facilities are fully equipped
- Conduct routine custodial inspections to identify areas needing attention or repair and report issues promptly
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or minor repairs to support overall facilities upkeep
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to ensure a hazard-free environment for all staff and visitors
- Support industrial cleaning projects or special cleaning requests as needed during the overnight shift
Qualifications
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred; familiarity with commercial cleaning standards is a plus
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and stripping is highly desirable
- Experience with industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to cleanliness and safety
- Reliable with excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently during scheduled hours
