POSITION SUMMARY:
The Bank Representative performs a wide range of basic to advance tasks involving the bank’s customers. Key duties include, but are not limited to helping customers check the status of bank accounts, loan balances, explain incurred fees and help resolve a variety of issues or problems.
Our part time representative is expected to work as needed to fill in any time spaces due to other employees scheduled off. On a regular basis our facility is looking for someone available to work every Tuesday and Wednesday and a rotating Saturday schedule as well.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide account services to customers by receiving deposits and loan payments; cashing checks; issuing savings withdrawals; record night and mail deposits.
- Process money orders or cashier's checks; answer questions in person or on telephone.
- Cross-sells bank products by answering inquiries; informing customers of new services and product promotions.
- Completes special requests by closing accounts; taking orders for checks; opening and closing various specialty accounts/promotions; providing special statements, copies, and referrals; completing safe-deposit box procedures.
- Reconciles cash drawer by proving cash transactions; counting and packaging currency and coins; reconciling other transactions; turn in excess cash to head teller; maintain supply of cash and currency.
- Complies with bank operations and security procedures by participating in all dual-control functions; auditing other tellers' currency; assisting in certification of proof.
- Maintains customer confidence and protects the bank by keeping information confidential.
- Exemplify the highest levels of professional integrity and ethical standards and represent the bank in a positive manner at all times, inside and outside of the workplace.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- Position may require occasional travel for training or to provide coverage at other locations.
