Open Line Group Homes has openings for Residential Counselors. Clients are 13-18 years old in out of home placement. These positions work four days and have three days off. 40+ hours a week with some overtime. Pay is based on education and experience.
To qualify as experienced:
You must be at least 21 years of age
You must have at least one year experience in group home with at-risk youth, a Bachelor's Degree, or prior consumer in foster care.
Have a valid California Driver's License with clean record
Pass a D.O.J - F.B.I background check with Child Abuse Index clearance
Not have an arrest record
Applicants must have at least two years experience with at-risk youth in out of home placement, an accredited Bachelors Degree or being a prior consumer in foster care. Adult care and developmentally disabled care does not count as experience.
You may qualify if you:
Have a valid Child Development Teaching Permit
Have completed 12 semester units of Early Childhood Development, Adolescent Development, or Foster and Kinship Care Education and have at least 100 hours of working with youth
Have a valid certificate as an Alcohol Counselor, Drug Counselor, or Alcohol and Drug Counselor and have at least 100 hours of working with youth
Have a valid Vocational Training Certificate, credential or documentation demonstrating that the individual is a trade journey person who instructs children in vocational skills and have at least 100 hours of experience working with youth.
