DEPARTMENT: Elkhart County Assessor's Office
HIRING RANGE: $23.46-$26.06/hour based on education and position related experience. Longevity pay after 3 years.

HOURS & DAYS OF WORK: Monday 8:00-5:00 p.m., Tuesday-Friday 8:00-4:00 p.m.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Within County (please complete driving page on application)
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for assisting the office in the assessment of real and personal property and assisting the County Assessor and the public.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• High school graduate or equivalent; two years of higher education and/or assessing experience preferred
• Valid Driver's License
• Possession of or ability to obtain Level I certification within one year of hire date
• Knowledge of/or ability to locate State and local law/code related to properties and assessment and County policies/procedures, with ability to apply to assessments
• Excellent organizational and communications skills
• Ability to work alone or with others in a team environment
• Pre-employment background check
