Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS systems ensuring quick and precise entry
- Do not be just an "order taker" Upsell menu items to enhance guest experiences and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Manage tables efficiently by bussing, resetting, and assisting with food handling and preparation as needed
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, specials, and wine pairings to assist guests in making informed choices
- Ensure food safety standards are upheld through proper sanitation practices and food handling procedures
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Support team members with basic math for cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments accurately
Requirements
- Proven experience in full service restaurant environments is required
- Familiarity with Toast POS systems; experience with 7shifts and OpenTable are advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and warmly
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to serve multiple tables effectively during busy periods
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and transaction processing
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required in a restaurant setting
