What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and monitoring entry and exit activity at a government location.

Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.

Monitor doors, gates, screening points, and/or visitor management processes to help support authorized access, maintain orderly flow, and report suspicious or unauthorized activity.

Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, as assigned, while observing for security-related concerns, facility issues, and/or policy violations.

Complete required logs, reports, and/or incident documentation, and communicate important updates during shift changes to help support continuity of site operations and security-related awareness.
Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age.

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.

Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.

Possess an armed guard card or license.

Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.

Guard card is required.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
