Key Responsibilities:

Accept deliveries of incoming shipments from suppliers and carriers.

Verify contents of shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.

Inspect received goods for damage, defects, or discrepancies.

Record and report any issues with received shipments to appropriate personnel.

Organize and maintain inventory for raw materials and finished goods.

Update inventory records and databases when product is received and shipped

Ensure inventory records are accurate and support the physical presence of raw materials and finished goods.

Ensure accurate and timely issuance of material to WIP.

Ensure proper storage and placement of materials within designated areas.

Actively participate in cycle count process.

Participate in the annual physical count for raw materials and finished goods.
-
Prepare outgoing shipments by packing items securely and labeling correctly.
-
Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
-
Arrange transportation for outgoing shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

Generate shipping documents such as bills of lading, shipping labels, and packing lists.
- Documentation and Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate records of all inbound and outbound shipments.

File and archive shipping and receiving documents based on record retention policy.

Conduct quality inspections on outgoing shipments to ensure they meet company standards.

Monitor and report on shipment performance metrics, such as accuracy.
- Communication and Collaboration:

Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments regarding shipment statuses and requirements.

Collaborate with purchasing, warehouse, and customer service teams to resolve issues and improve logistics processes.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics or supply chain management preferred.

Proven experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or a similar role.

Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, including handling of hazardous materials (if applicable).

Proficiency in using shipping software and inventory management systems.

Ability to lift and move heavy packages as needed.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
