Job purpose
We are looking for a master multi-tasker Human Resource Generalist with excellent communication skills, hands on human resource experience, strong administrative experience, light accounting skills, and an upbeat attitude. Applicants will assist visitors to the facility, provide professional assistance to management, and provide essential human resource support to employees.
To be successful as a Human Resource Generalist, candidates should be experienced, professional, polite, attentive and versed in Human Resources law and policy. Applicants should be prepared and responsive, willing to meet each challenge directly and be comfortable with computers, general office tasks, and excel at verbal and written communication.
The Human Resource Generalist must have a genuine desire to support the needs of others as they balance the needs of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, pre-employment screening, new hire documentation, and orientation, ensuring alignment with company practices.
- Partner with hiring managers to support full-cycle recruitment for facility, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer administration.
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee records within the HRIS (e.g., ISolved/Paragon), including Metrc tracking, job classifications, pay rates, and personnel file documentation in accordance with legal requirements.
- Assist in administration and support of employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D. Ensure accurate enrollment, maintenance, and compliance.
- Provide employee relations support by conducting or assisting with workplace investigations, documenting findings, and supporting disciplinary actions up to and including termination, ensuring compliance with company policy and union requirements.
- Administer and manage employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, State Paid Leave (PLO), FLA (as applicable), ADA accommodations, and short-term disability.
- Administer compliance-related programs such as random drug testing, background checks, regulatory postings, and required reporting.
- Plan and support employee engagement initiatives, including recognition programs, events, and communication efforts that foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture across diverse operational environments.
Accounting Team Support:
- Deposit all incoming checks
- Log all incoming payments by ACH.
- Back up support for Account Receivables. Record all payments from customers as they are received, inform the AR department and sales teams of incoming payments.
- Attend weekly accounting meetings – Finance & Code Check Meetings
- Record/reconcile all receipts to AP ensuring proper accounting codes are used.
- Process all invoices with the review and approval of the Controller/CFO. Reconcile AP monthly.
- Log all signed invoices, scan and upload signed copy.
- Update contact information on venders and request W9s, correct address and payment information.
- Assist accounting team with 1099 process during year-end.
Administrative Support:
- Direct point of contact for all internal and external employees,clients,vendors/visitors.
- Answer phone calls, greet visitors and direct any incoming freight.
- Occasionally send packages and certified letters at local postal service.
- Scan and upload all visitor logs monthly
- Organize any facility events- parties, picnics, lunches, benefit roll outs, ext.
- Submit orders of office supplies, consumables, and facility materials to the National Procurement Officer.
- Check Mail daily and route as appropriate.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty successfully.
An associate’s degree in HR or Business-Related field is required. A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
- 4+ yrs of HR experience, this includes leave management experience
- HR Certification (SHRM CP or PHR) preferred
- Advanced PC skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Isolved experience is a plus
- Knowledge of HR systems and technology
- Ability to exercise sound judgment
- Knowledge of employment laws
- High integrity and confidentiality
- Strong organization & communication skills
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
- Team-oriented
- Advanced PC skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
