Duties
- Design and implement engaging Montessori-based lesson plans that promote literacy education, math skills, physical education, and overall childhood development.
- Facilitate a prepared environment that encourages independence, exploration, and hands-on learning tailored to each child's developmental stage.
- Manage classroom activities effectively, ensuring a positive atmosphere that supports behavior management and child welfare.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and developmental milestones through regular updates and conferences.
- Incorporate early intervention strategies and special education techniques to support diverse learning needs and foster inclusive classrooms.
- Maintain accurate records of student assessments, standardized testing results, and individualized education plans (IEPs) when applicable.
- Promote a safe, nurturing environment by adhering to childcare standards and best practices in daycare and preschool settings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in early childhood education with a strong background in Montessori methodology.
- Demonstrated classroom experience working with children across toddler to preschool age groups.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management strategies, and literacy education techniques.
- Ability to develop curriculum tailored to individual student needs while aligning with educational standards.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Familiarity with classroom management tools, lesson planning software, and assessment methods including standardized testing.
- Certification or training in Montessori teaching methods is highly preferred; additional qualifications in special education or early intervention are advantageous. Pay: $22.48 - $27.48 per hour
