American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a CVOR position requiring 2 years of hospital experience and proficiency in cardiac and thoracic surgical cases.

Hospital CVOR unit located on the 4th floor of a dedicated heart hospital
-
Performs cardiac cases including CABG, valve replacement/repair, aortic dissection repair, and TAVRs
-
Performs thoracic surgery cases including daVinci-assisted lobectomy, wedge resections, and mediastinal lymph node biopsy
-
Involved in procedures initiating ECMO and pericardial window
-
Scrubs cardiac cases requiring bypass and related mediastinal and thoracic procedures, including open thoracotomy and VATS
-
Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Unit hours of operation are 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
-
On-call requirements apply, with call starting at 3:00 PM when assigned
-
Weekend call may be assigned for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

13-week assignment length

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital surgical technology setting

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required

State license required if applicable

BLS certification required
-
ACLS certification required

Proficient in scrubbing complex cardiac and thoracic surgical cases

No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Hospital-provided scrubs required for this unit

Support a variety of complex cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures

Assist with procedures initiating ECMO and other advanced cardiothoracic interventions

Work within a cardiac and thoracic surgery team in a dedicated heart hospital setting

Radius rule requires candidates to live more than 50 miles from the facility, with no exceptions for local candidates
