We are seeking a highly customer-centric professional with strong sales, business development, and relationship management skills who thrives in dynamic, innovative environments. The Business Development Manager (BDM) will drive net-new customer acquisition and expand the existing client base, primarily in the Puerto Rico region, while building and nurturing relationships with clients, consultants, and global enterprise customers. The BDM is responsible for generating new leads and establishing strategic partnerships with target clients. Reporting to the VP of Global Solutions & Services, this role focuses on driving revenue growth, expanding the services and solutions portfolio, and serving as the primary client contact to support account management and growth. In collaboration with the CERVANTES Solutions Delivery team, the BDM will help define and qualify service approaches for technical and business consulting engagements. The ideal candidate can quickly understand client needs, including technology projects, goals, and objectives, to deliver high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities:
· Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders from C-Suite to technical leaders across areas such as software engineering, digital products, cloud services, AI/ML, IT security, data, and solutions architecture.
· Drive net-new client acquisition and expand existing accounts within the Puerto Rico region across services, solutions, and team augmentation.
· Develop and execute strategic account plans, including account mapping, organizational charts, and growth forecasts, reporting to the VP of Global Solutions & Services.
· Partner with clients to gather requirements for roles, projects, and services; create and manage job descriptions while providing ongoing status updates.
· Generate and close new business opportunities while expanding service offerings within the existing client portfolio.
· Collaborate with Solutions Delivery and Technical Architects on RFPs, service design, and implementation strategies.
· Work closely with delivery teams to evaluate and select high-quality candidates aligned with client needs.
· Serve as the primary client contact and escalation point, ensuring clear communication and alignment between clients, consultants, and internal teams.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree is required
· 4+ years’ experience in sales or new business development role (preferably within professional services, consultancy services or managed services environments)
· Knowledge of key technical services such as SW engineering, Digital products, systems integration, cloud services & migrations, PMO, AI/ML, IT security, data management & analytics, data science, solutions architecture, among others, is required.
· Excellent communication skills and ability to work in proactive, sales environment
· Excellent organizational, time management, quality management, and project management skills and ability to perform under pressure
· Knowledge of or ability to understand technical terminology and concepts
· Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong networks and relationships
Preferred Requirements:
· Previous experience in technology consultancy services is a plus
· Bilingual in English & Spanish is highly desired but not required
