Permanent/Intermittent positions exist in the Registry. Under general supervision, incumbents administer nursing care to forensic clients, patients, or inmates at State hospitals, and correctional facilities contracting with the Department of State Hospitals; assist in planning and evaluating nursing care of assigned forensic clients, patients, or inmates; assist in directing and training other nursing service personnel; and perform other related nursing tasks. Incumbents provide direction to unit personnel in general or specializes nursing work and provide for continuity of forensic client, patient, or inmate care with nursing personnel of other shifts. Incumbents may also be responsible for directing the work of other employees during an assigned shift of an organized nursing unit and relieving the supervisor as required. Ability to communicate well, and provide leadership and direction are highly desired.
Candidates must be willing to work in any Unit/Program and any Shift to meet the needs of the facility.

TRAINING EXPECTATIONS:
If selected it is mandatory that you attend New Employee Orientation (NEO) in its entirety. NEO can be scheduled up to 30 days for level of care staff (clinical).
