Join us this summer as a Chef for our vibrant Summer Camp program! In this role, you will be a key team member dedicated to creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children. Your culinary skills and enthusiasm will help craft delicious meals and snacks, ensuring campers stay energized and satisfied throughout their day. Duties
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks tailored to children’s dietary needs, following established menu plans
- Assist in planning menus that incorporate healthy, appealing options suitable for a diverse group of campers
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Support kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation, cooking, and plating of meals in a timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
- Serve food to campers in a friendly and efficient manner, promoting positive dining experiences
- Collaborate with camp staff to ensure dietary accommodations are met and special requests are fulfilled
Experience
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within restaurants or catering environments is preferred
- Knowledge of menu planning and food safety protocols is essential
- Background in the food industry or kitchen experience demonstrates your capability to handle food handling responsibilities effectively
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are important for success in this role
- Experience ordering food for large groups preferred
Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
