If you're an enthusiastic Physical Therapist who enjoys working with children and wants to make a meaningful impact, we'd love to meet you.ResponsibilitiesAs a Pediatric Physical Therapist, you will:
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on their unique needs and goals.
- Provide evidence-based physical therapy interventions to improve gross motor skills, strength, balance, coordination, mobility, and functional independence.
- Help children achieve success at home, in school, and within their community through engaging, child-centered therapy.
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient progress while modifying treatment plans as needed.
- Educate and coach parents and caregivers by providing home exercise programs and strategies to support continued progress.
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive, coordinated care.
- Participate in team meetings, supervision, continuing education, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Current New York State Physical Therapist (PT) license.
- Passion for working with the pediatric population.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children and their families.
- Strong clinical reasoning, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
