Overview
We are seeking a skilled 5 AXIS Machinist to join our team. This job is 3 day work days Friday through Sunday 12 hour days. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machines to fabricate precision parts according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, speeds and feeds, and the ability to read blueprints. The CNC Machinist will work with various materials and utilize advanced tools and technologies to ensure high-quality production.
Responsibilities
- Operate 5 Axis CNC machines, including Fanuc systems, Mazak Smooth controls, and Haas to produce parts based on engineering drawings and specifications.
- Profeciatnt in own set ups following set up sheets, engineering, and model driven assignments.
- Fabricate components by setting up and adjusting machine tools, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments, such as calipers and micrometers, to verify dimensions of finished products.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any operational issues that arise during production.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding technical drawings.
- Familiarity with hand tools and precision measuring instruments is essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machinery effectively.
