Overview:
The Commercial Vehicle Mechanic position at Linde is responsible for maintaining,
inspecting, and repairing the company’s fleet of heavy-duty trucks and trailers, which
are integral to Linde’s logistics operations. You will play a key role in ensuring the safe
and efficient transportation of industrial gases such as liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen,
liquid argon, CO2, and hydrogen. This includes routine preventative maintenance and
unscheduled repairs to support the delivery of cryogenic products while ensuring
compliance with Linde’s safety standards, DOT regulations, and internal protocols. The
ideal candidate will be highly safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and proactive in
identifying and resolving mechanical issues. Key responsibilities to include the
following:
- You will conduct comprehensive inspections of mechanical systems, safety features, and overall vehicle condition to keep assets reliable and roadworthy
- In this role you will diagnose and resolve issues across engines, transmissions, suspension systems, braking systems, and electrical components using structured troubleshooting
- You shall perform timely repairs and replacements on tires, brakes, bearings, fuel systems, hydraulic systems, and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems to reduce downtime
- Execute preventative maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and precise lubrication to extend equipment service life
- Additionally test vehicle systems after repair to guarantee functionality and compliance with company standards and applicable regulatory requirements
- Manage accurate service logs, repair records, and inspection documentation, communicate repair recommendations to management, schedule warranty work with equipment manufacturers, and uphold a clean and organized work environment while ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and proper handling of tools, equipment, and hazardous materials

Qualifications:
- You are a safety‑focused professional who upholds rigorous safety protocols, protects teammates and customers, and maintains an organized, hazard‑free workspace
- You will bring a minimum of three years of commercial vehicle maintenance experience with demonstrated success across engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, suspensions, and braking systems
- In addition you should hold Automotive Service Excellence certifications or equivalent expertise and actively pursue ongoing training to stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies
- You shall communicate clearly with management and drivers, deliver precise documentation, and take responsibility for proactive recommendations that prevent downtime
- Furthermore demonstrate the ability to manage multiple work orders, prioritize preventative maintenance, and guarantee quality through thorough testing and verification against company and regulatory requirements
- Additionally a Commercial Driver License Class A or Class B is preferred, and you value a customer‑oriented, inclusive workplace where diverse perspectives are respected
