OYH is excited to announce that we are looking for an Assistant Production Operator to join our TPO manufacturing team in Prairie View, Texas.
We are beginning production efforts in our state-of-the-art TPO manufacturing facility and need an experienced plant operator to oversee our production process. This role will operate and oversee the production process, monitoring equipment performance, making necessary machinery adjustments, and working closely with other team members to maintain a continuously high operating standard while also producing the highest quality TPO product for our customers.
Essential Responsibilities
· Assist in the operation of our TPO production process, which includes equipment such as mixers/blenders, blower conveying systems, and other industrial TPO manufacturing machinery.
· Set up, adjust, and troubleshoot production equipment to maintain product quality and maximize efficiency.
· Perform routine equipment inspections and communicate maintenance needs promptly.
· Work with quality team to monitor TPO quality as well as conducting required inspections and making necessary process adjustments to achieve the desired result.
· Complete shift production reports and maintain accurate operational records.
· Follow all safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with housekeeping standards.
· Assist with equipment changeovers, start-ups, shutdowns, and other production activities.
· Work collaboratively with maintenance, quality, and production teams to resolve operational issues and minimize downtime.
· Assist in the training of new team members as we continue ramping up production efforts and add to our team.
Qualifications
· 0-1 years of operator experience in a manufacturing environment. (Preferrable experience includes plastic manufacturing, extrusion, roofing materials.)
· Strong aptitude to learn and develop skills.
· Ability to read production specifications, work instructions, and quality documentation.
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and climb for up to 8-12 hours daily.
· Forklift certification or the ability to become certified is preferred.
· Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to workplace safety.
· Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as production demands require.
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
