About the Role
Cutting Edge Steel, a premier national metal fabricator , is seeking a dedicated 2nd Shift Industrial Painter to join our growing production team . You will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying high-quality protective coatings to custom structural steel, stairs, railings, and miscellaneous metals .
Key Responsibilities
- Safely mix, prepare, and apply industrial-grade coatings, including 2-part epoxy primers.
- Operate airless paint sprayers and related surface preparation/painting equipment.
- Inspect painted components to ensure they meet strict ISO 9001:2015 quality standards .
- Maintain a clean and organized spray booth and work area.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial or commercial painting.
- Strong preference for candidates with direct experience mixing and applying 2-part epoxy primers.
- Ability to read blueprints and coating specifications is a plus.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and wear required PPE.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work effectively on an evening/2nd shift schedule.
