Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess health status and diagnose medical conditions
- Perform surgical procedures, including routine and emergency surgeries, with precision and care
- Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments tailored to each animal’s needs
- Utilize veterinary terminology accurately when documenting cases and communicating with clients
- Handle animals safely using restraint techniques suitable for different species and temperaments
- Assist in laboratory testing, sample collection, and analysis to support accurate diagnoses
- Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infections and ensure patient safety
- Provide pet grooming, animal husbandry, and basic animal care to promote overall well-being
- Use animal physiology and anatomy knowledge to interpret diagnostic results effectively
- Handle specialized tasks such as animal catheterization and laboratory experiments when necessary
- Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and health maintenance practices
Requirements
- Proven veterinary experience with a strong foundation in general animal healthcare
- Critical care experience preferred for managing emergency cases efficiently
- Skilled in animal restraint, handling dogs, cats, horses, or other species as required
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and laboratory procedures
- Experience with pet grooming, animal husbandry, and aseptic techniques essential for quality care
- Ability to perform animal catheterization and manage laboratory testing processes confidently
- Strong communication skills to explain diagnoses and treatments clearly to clients
- Prior experience working with equine patients is a plus but not mandatory
- Demonstrated commitment to animal welfare and compassionate patient care
