We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive clinical and administrative support within a busy medical practice, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient office operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work across diverse medical specialties, including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and outpatient services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, excellent patient service abilities, and proficiency in medical documentation and office management systems. All positions are paid roles, emphasizing the importance of professionalism and commitment to patient-centered care.
SCHEDULE: M-F 7:30-4:00 OR 7:45-4:15 Please verify that you can work either schedule based on practice needs.
Practice Overview: Multi-Specialty
Duties:
- POCT (urine, flu, strep, blood glucose, etc.)
- Assist with patient intake procedures, including recording vital signs and updating medical histories accurately, chart prep
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for provider use
- Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, X-ray imaging, and basic life support when required
- Support physicians with procedures in various specialties including dermatology, emergency medicine, internal medicine, and geriatrics
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems to document patient encounters, update medical records, and ensure compliance with privacy regulations
- Conduct ICD coding for diagnoses to facilitate billing processes and maintain accurate medical documentation
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries, explaining procedures, and ensuring a positive experience
- Support medical office management tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and maintaining medical records
- Assist with hospital or outpatient procedures requiring knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and EMR/EHR management
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in inpatient settings like ICU or trauma centers when applicable
Requirements:
- Certified Medical Assistant credential from an accredited program
- Prior experience in medical office settings with familiarity in Multi specialties, hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics
- Minimum 1 year of current MA experience- (Externships do not count towards experience)
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and medical documentation practices
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, ICD coding, and medication administration protocols
- Hands-on experience with phlebotomy, X-ray procedures, and AHA basic life support certification (BLS)
- Inpatient or outpatient experience at Level I or Level II trauma centers is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Excellent communication skills focused on patient service excellence
- Must have proof of immunizations or Titers
