Simpler Media Group is looking for an experienced, phone-forward, technically astute outbound sales development representative to drive new business pipeline across our three publications. You will be responsible for booking qualified meetings with senior marketing leaders at B2B technology companies across a mix of net new logos and reactivation of past clients.
This is a contract-to-permanent position with conversion of a successful candidate expected after 90-120 days. Your location is flexible, however, you must be legally able to work in the United States and able to work during US business hours.
You will pair directly with a senior Account Manager on a vetted account list and collaborate closely with the broader sales team. This is a phone-forward, tech-forward role. You should arrive with a current outbound playbook and the tooling experience to execute it from day one.
You will find that we have a technically advanced Sales stack, including platforms like Salesforce, Clay, Lemlist, Apollo, Seamless all integrated through a custom platform that empowers the Sales team, reduces operational friction, manages data hygiene and helps force-multiply outbound efforts.

Career Path
If you are successful, contract-to-permanent conversion is expected after 90-120 days, and we would be thrilled to progress this role towards an account manager position and have you mentor the next generation of BDRs.
Responsibilities
- Drive outbound prospecting via technology and phone-led outreach to book qualified meetings with senior B2B marketing leaders.
- Pursue two distinct strategies: net-new logo acquisition and reactivation of past clients
- Operate and maintain a modern outbound calling stack, including parallel/power dialers (e.g., Orum, Nooks), local-presence dialing, and spam-label remediation
- Execute scaled email sequences via Lemlist and/or similar platforms
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all activity and pipeline within Salesforce
- Collaborate with the CEO, Marketing and dev/IT team on prospect targeting, data hygiene optimization and general sales tech stack optimization.

Requirements
- At least 2 years of outbound B2B sales development experience, with demonstrated success reaching senior, enterprise-level buyers
- Experience with Salesforce, Clay and outreach platforms like Lemlist
- Hands-on experience with parallel or power dialing platforms
- Demonstrated ability to use AI / LLMs for outbound work, with the judgment to distinguish useful output from AI slop
- A current, articulate cold-calling playbook — you can describe how you break through to senior marketers today, including connect-rate tactics, timing strategies, and spam-avoidance methods
- Comfort and a history of working on a remote, distributed team
- (Desirable) Experience in B2B media, martech, or demand-gen industries
- (Desirable) Familiarity with campaign-based, repeat-cycle revenue models

All employees operate in a remote first model, though face-to-face time in office or shared spaces is available, depending on your location.

Compensation
This position offers a competitive base salary commensurate with experience, augmented by performance-weighted variable compensation tied to qualified, held meetings and meetings that convert to won opportunities. Accelerators apply above target with minimal cap.
