American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a travel contract at an acute care hospital in Apple Valley, CA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of OR experience, Epic proficiency, and on-call availability.

Operating Room (OR) unit within a 212-bed acute care hospital
-
12-hour variable shifts covering Sunday through Saturday
-
Shift start times vary: 0630–1900, 0930–2200, or 1030–2300
-
On-call required, estimated at 70–90 hours per 6-week period; on-call blocks include 1900–2300, 2300–0700, and weekend/holiday call from 0700–1900 and 1900–0700

Weekend and holiday call required

Floating between all facilities within the state is expected; refusal to float may result in assignment termination

Charting via Epic (experience required)

Active CA RN license required; pending licenses are not accepted

Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred

Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required; 3 years preferred, with experience in a broad range of surgical procedures

Epic EMR experience required

Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting required for consideration

Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

First-time travelers are not eligible for this position

Scrubs are provided for OR staff

Local candidates are accepted; candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates

Former permanent employees of the facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

RTO must be submitted at the time of consideration; minimal RTO is strongly preferred

Block scheduling may be accommodated at the manager's discretion
