Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles such as buses, shuttle vans, delivery trucks, and paratransit vehicles to transport passengers or cargo efficiently.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and mechanical integrity.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and vehicle maintenance needs in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, passengers, and team members using effective communication skills to coordinate routes and address any issues promptly.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks or report mechanical issues to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to uphold the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
