We are seeking a motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner who wants to build a long-term career in dermatology.
What You'll Do
You will work closely with board-certified dermatologists while developing an independent medical dermatology practice.
Responsibilities include:
Diagnose and treat diseases of the skin, hair, and nails
Perform comprehensive skin cancer examinations
Biopsy suspicious lesions
Treat common dermatologic conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, warts, skin infections, and rashes
Diagnose and manage skin cancers
Perform excisions and simple surgical procedures appropriate to training
Cryotherapy, electrodessication, shave removals, and wound care
Prescribe medications including biologics when appropriate
Educate patients on prevention and long-term management
Document thoroughly and accurately in the electronic medical record
Work collaboratively with physicians, medical assistants, and front office staff
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education

Qualifications
Required
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
Current Arizona license or ability to obtain
DEA registration or eligibility
Current BLS certification
Excellent clinical judgment
Strong documentation skills
Preferred
Dermatology experience
Surgical experience
Biologic medication management
Procedural skills
Spanish speaking is a plus
New graduates with exceptional motivation and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Schedule
Typical schedule includes:
Four to five clinic days per week
Occasional evening clinic
Occasional Saturday clinic
Travel between our Tucson-area locations and outreach clinics
