We are looking for hands-on Woodshop Production Specialists to join our Milton team. Opportunities are available on both first and second shift.
This position goes beyond general woodshop assembly. If you enjoy operating specialized equipment, organizing materials and hardware, building solutions with your hands, and helping keep a busy shop moving, this may be the perfect fit.
What You’ll Do:
In this role, you’ll support the production of custom wood packaging by operating specialized woodworking equipment, preparing materials and hardware, building jigs, and coordinating work to customer specifications.
- Safely setting up and operating panel saws, CNC equipment, band saws, glue equipment, and other woodworking tools.
- Reading drawings, job specifications, cut lists, tape measures, and production documentation.
- Ordering materials and monitoring availability to support production needs.
- Ordering, organizing, and pulling the correct hardware for each job according to specifications.
- Building accurate production jigs using plywood and lumber.
- Performing shop math and measurements using fractions and decimals.
- Inspecting materials, machine output, jigs, and completed work for quality and accuracy.
- Organizing jobs, materials, hardware, and work areas to maintain an efficient production flow.
- Assisting with schedule planning and coordinating priorities and material needs with supervisors and other shops.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.
What We’re Looking For:
- We’re seeking a dependable, organized, and self-motivated individual who can work accurately in a fast-paced, busy shop.
- Woodshop, carpentry, construction, manufacturing, or production experience.
- Experience operating panel saws, CNC equipment, band saws, or glue equipment.
- Experience reading drawings, cut lists, or job specifications.
- Material, inventory, hardware, or production-planning experience.
- You should be comfortable with:
- Reading a tape measure accurately and using basic shop math.
- Working independently while coordinating with supervisors and other production teams.
- Managing changing priorities while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Learning new equipment, processes, and skills.
- Maintaining dependable attendance and punctuality.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, lifting, walking, and movement.
- Regular lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Team lifting for heavier materials.
- Working safely around tools, machinery, noise, and normal manufacturing temperature variations.
