Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure timely service and high-quality dishes
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining cleanliness standards
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely when moving supplies, ingredients, or equipment
- Maintain cleanliness by cleaning kitchen stations, and adhering to sanitation protocols
- Follow safe lifting practices during heavy lifting tasks to prevent injuries
- Support banquet setups and catering events as needed, ensuring all guest services are delivered seamlessly
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a strong understanding of food handling and safety procedures
- Familiarity with kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and basic culinary techniques
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and guest interactions
- Previous banquet experience or hotel experience is a plus for supporting large-scale events
- Strong customer service orientation with a focus on guest satisfaction in hospitality settings
