CC Young, a vibrant senior living community and a non-profit leader in senior living and Health Care is seeking Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for our Assisted Living/ Memory Support Department.
Scheduled: 2:00pm- 10:00pm, Monday - Friday
Double weekend: 6:00 am- 10:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday
Pay Rate (based on experience) $16.00- $17.20
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, ADLs as indicated.
- Assist residents with mealtimes as needed. Serve coffee, meals, and ice cream. Clean and set tables for meals.
- Responsible for carrying out social activities as assigned.
- Attends staff meetings and in services as required. 12 hours of continuing education per year.
- Responds to emergencies as needed which may require lifting or transferring of residents weighing in excess of 150 lbs. With or without reasonable accommodation.
- Transport, wash, dry and fold laundry as required. This requires lifting loads of wet clothing in excess of 30 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Follow universal safety precautions in order to protect oneself, residents and other staff members.
- Report any incident or accident resulting in injury to oneself, residents, visitors, or other staff to Charge Nurse. Report bruising, skin tears or other injuries of unknown origin to Charge Nurse immediately.
- Respond immediately to the urgent call system in Assisted Living.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Certified Nursing Assistant Certification in the state of Texas.
- High school degree or equivalent required.
- Must be able to follow instructions orally and in writing in English.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with all levels of Company, Resident and Visitor personnel.
- Ability to work independently.
- Previous experience working in assisted living/memory care or with dementia patients is highly preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of the use of Sit to stand lifts is preferred but not required.
