Position Summary:
We are seeking a driven, compassionate, and results-oriented Account Executive to join our hospice team. This individual will be responsible for generating referrals from physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other healthcare partners. The ideal candidate is a skilled relationship builder with a strong understanding of post-acute care and passion for connecting patients with quality care.
Essential job functions:
- Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources across your territory, including physicians, discharge planners, case managers, and community partners.
- Present and promote hospice services, emphasizing patient eligibility, clinical excellence, and seamless transitions of care.
- Identify new business opportunities and convert them into active referral sources.
- Collaborate closely with clinical and operations teams to ensure high-quality service delivery and patient satisfaction.
- Attend IDT, case conference, Focus meetings and other meetings as assigned.
- Meet or exceed monthly referral and admission goals.
- Maintain accurate records in Customer Relations Manager (CRM) systems, track activity, and report outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Proven success in healthcare sales, preferably in home health, hospice, or post-acute care.
- Strong clinical understanding of hospice eligibility is a plus.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Education and Experience:
- 2+ years in a healthcare sales role.
- Existing referral network in the assigned territory.
- Familiarity with EMRs, CRM systems, and healthcare regulations.
- High school graduate or equivalency (some college preferred.)
