We are a small accounting company looking for someone to perform a variety of tasks. This position is part time outside of tax season and possible hours for staff vacation coverage/projects and full time from January through most of April with some half day Saturdays during that time.
Duties include:
- Answer phone calls and greet clients
- Enter employee timesheets into software and reconcile timesheets on a regular basis
- Monthly print, label and mail invoices
- Order office supplies, letterhead etc. and keep organized
- Maintain postage levels, copier maintenance and shipping supplies
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- All accurate filing of paid bills, deposits, tax returns etc.
- QuickBooks experience is preferred, but not necessary
- Record deposits in QB and reconcile to timeslips software
- Tax form knowledge preferred, but not required
- Request W-9 forms from vendors and maintain list
- Maintain 1099 folders/lists, reconcile and mail 1099/1096 forms
- Assemble client tax returns for pickup or mail
- Other miscellaneous tasks as needed
