Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Unarmed Security Guard to uphold safety and security across our premises. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for monitoring access points, conducting patrols, and ensuring a secure environment for staff, visitors, and property. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help prevent incidents, respond effectively to emergencies, and maintain compliance with security regulations. Duties
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV to oversee activity across the facility and identify potential security threats.
- Control access points using security systems and perform background checks on visitors or contractors as needed.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure physical security, check for hazards, and deter unauthorized access.
- Respond promptly to alarms or incidents by following established emergency response procedures.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any suspicious activity, security breaches, or accidents.
- Perform customer service duties by assisting visitors with directions or inquiries while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Assist in performing manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when necessary for security equipment or supplies.
Experience
- Guard Card preferred but will help the right candidates test and obtain one.
- Familiarity with surveillance tools including CCTV systems and access control systems.
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures such as CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and first aid protocols.
- Ability to perform background checks and conduct thorough incident report writing with clarity and accuracy.
- Strong understanding of physical security measures including patrolling techniques, conflict de-escalation strategies, and compliance with security regulations.
- Experience handling conflict de-escalation tools such as Taser (if authorized), fire safety equipment, or other non-lethal devices is a plus.
- Demonstrated capability in performing manual handling tasks like heavy lifting while adhering to safety standards.

Pay: $20.45 - $21.00 per hour
