Responsibilities
- Provide expert hair styling, coloring, hair extensions, and barbering services tailored to each client’s unique preferences.
- Utilize salon software such as Vagaro to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by adhering to sanitation protocols and ensuring all tools and workstations are clean and sterilized.
- Offer personalized hair care advice and product recommendations to enhance client satisfaction and promote retail sales through upselling techniques.
- Communicate clearly with clients to understand their needs, explain treatment options, and ensure a positive experience from consultation to completion.
- Stay current on the latest trends in hair styling, coloring techniques, and industry best practices through ongoing education.
- Assist in store management duties when necessary, including inventory management, retail math calculations, and mentoring new team members.
Experience
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a hairstylist or barber with a strong portfolio of work.
- Proficiency with salon software such as Vagaro for appointment booking and client management.
- Skilled in various hair techniques including hair coloring, hair threading, hair extensions, and the use of straight razors.
- Knowledge of color theory to achieve desired results safely and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients and provide outstanding customer service.
- Familiarity with sanitation standards specific to cosmetology and barbering practices.
- Experience in retail sales, upselling products, and store management is a plus
