Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of nail services such as manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, acrylic nail applications, and nail extensions with precision and artistry
- Apply color theory principles to create custom nail designs that meet client preferences
- Maintain strict salon safety protocols by adhering to sanitation and disinfection procedures for tools and workstations
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide personalized recommendations for nail care and enhancements
- Educate clients on proper nail maintenance, aftercare, and retail products to enhance their experience and satisfaction
- Upsell additional services like body waxing, eyelash extensions, or esthetic laser treatments to maximize client engagement
- Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in nail art, techniques such as dermabrasion or hair threading, and industry best practices
Experience
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a manicurist or nail technician with a strong portfolio of nail art and design work
- Knowledge of color theory, nail extensions, gel manicures, acrylic application, and sanitation standards required for safe practice
- Familiarity with salon safety protocols including disinfection procedures and client communication skills
- Ability to perform additional beauty treatments such as pedicures, body waxing, eyelash extensions, or esthetic laser treatments is a plus
- Strong retail sales skills combined with retail math knowledge to recommend products confidently and upsell effectively
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and ensure their needs are met with professionalism and enthusiasm
