Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse facilities. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with various warehouse tasks, such as receiving, sorting, storing, and distributing goods efficiently. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in receiving incoming shipments, checking for accuracy, and verifying contents against packing lists.
- Properly sort and organize received goods, ensuring they are stored in designated locations for easy retrieval.
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders by picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment following established protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse workspace, adhering to safety and cleanliness standards at all times.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, with care and precision after receiving necessary training.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and assist in cycle counting to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, reporting any discrepancies, damages, or operational issues promptly.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including proper handling of fragile or hazardous materials.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve warehouse processes and contribute ideas for enhancing overall efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in warehousing is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately follow instructions.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking purposes.
- Physical capability to lift and move packages of varying weights, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively in a diverse warehouse setting.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
- Prior experience in warehousing, while beneficial, is not required.
