House of Hummels is a growing ecommerce business selling across multiple online platforms. We are hiring a dependable, highly organized Operations Assistant to help manage our day-to-day operational workflow. This person will work across several areas of the business, including CRM management, customer communication, item evaluation, listing quality assurance, order reconciliation, and order preparation.
We are a growing company with established systems and repeatable processes. Training and documentation are provided, but this role requires someone who can understand how individual tasks connect within a larger operational workflow. The successful candidate will have a natural affinity for detail and accuracy, manage multiple priorities effectively, and work independently once trained.
Operations Assistant Responsibilities
- Manage assigned work across multiple stages of an established operational workflow
- Maintain accurate customer records and current workflow statuses within the CRM
- Monitor work in progress and advance each customer record through the appropriate stages
- Manage routine customer communications using established email templates
- Receive, document, and evaluate customer items according to defined criteria and standard operating procedures
- Perform quality assurance reviews of online listings and document any corrections needed
- Match online orders to the exact one-of-a-kind items purchased
- Prepare and pack sold items according to established packing and quality-control standards
- Confirm that all required information is complete before advancing work to the next stage
- Identify exceptions, discrepancies, or process issues and escalate them for review
- Balance multiple priorities while meeting expectations for accuracy, consistency, and productivity

- Comfort moving between seated computer work and hands-on item processing throughout the day
- Ability to carry items between floors and use stairs throughout the workday
Schedule & Compensation
- Approximately 30 hours per week
- Regular weekday schedule with some flexibility in how hours are structured
- On-site position in downtown Salisbury
- $17 per hour, paid weekly
- Training provided
