Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently, handling cash handling and cashiering responsibilities with precision
- Upsell menu items including sushi rolls, beverages, and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation practices
- Assist with setting tables, refilling drinks, and ensuring overall guest comfort to foster guest relations and positive experiences
Qualifications
- Previous food service experience preferred; experience in sushi or Japanese cuisine is a plus but not required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, beverage service is desirable
- Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends in a fast-paced restaurant environment
