American Traveler is seeking an experienced PTA for a Long Term Care position in Potosi, MO, requiring at least 1 year of PTA experience in a LTC or SNF setting.

Long term care (LTC) facility setting

Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts
-
Shift start time is flexible between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM, as long as the schedule is consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehabilitation

35 guaranteed weekly hours

No on-call requirements

No weekend requirements unless a holiday falls on a weekday, in which case hours may be made up on the weekend

Active PTA license in Missouri (compact license accepted)

Minimum 1 year of PTA experience required

Experience in a LTC or SNF setting required

1 professional reference required for consideration

Provides rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist

Administers rehabilitation procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices

Assesses patient progress and communicates with the supervising PT to adjust treatment plans accordingly

Documents all required clinical information in the electronic documentation system and accurately records treatment minutes

Participates in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings

Provides consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders

No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested
