We are seeking a skilled and passionate cook to join our team . As a cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and service. If you have a passion for culinary arts and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards
- Assist with meal preparation for catering events and special occasions
- Ensure food safety and sanitation practices are followed at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations and timely service
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
- Responsible for set-up of carts to be delivered to resident dining areas, if applicable.
- Display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents, families and visitors.
- Provide support to community’s marketing efforts through positive/friendly interaction during all property tours and telephone contact with the public, and as directed by a supervisor.
- Communicate any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents and guests, following established safety standards.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of food safety and handling practices
- Experience in cooking and meal preparation, preferably in a restaurant or catering setting
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and flavor profiles
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred but not required
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must be able to pass a background check and be at least 18 years of age
Ability and Experience requirements:

Must have previous experience as a cook in an institutional setting.
- Must have criminal record clearance.
