We are seeking a motivated and energetic Part-Time Warehouse Associate specializing in Order Fulfillment and Logistics to join our dynamic team in Ferndale. Duties
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately using barcode scanning and warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling tools safely and efficiently
- Load and unload shipments using appropriate material handling equipment while adhering to safety protocols
- Maintain organized inventory levels through regular stock checks, inventory management systems, and cycle counts
- Ensure proper packaging of products to prevent damage during transit and handle materials with manual handling techniques
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including verifying shipments against documentation and updating inventory records
- Follow safety procedures diligently by using personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in safety training sessions
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Certification or experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, or pallet jacks is highly desirable
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory management systems is a plus
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and repetitive motions safely
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for order picking, packing, and quality control
- Commitment to safety protocol adherence and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
