Job Overview
I am seeking a general Dentist to join my dental team to perform scaling/root planing and periodontal maintenance in a busy Practice limited to Periodontics and Implant Dentistry. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of general dentistry and specialized procedures, with a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, to develop accurate diagnoses.
- Perform a range of dental procedures such as dental examinations, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing and implant management.
- Utilize advanced dental technology and imaging tools to facilitate precise diagnoses and treatment planning.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to streamline patient care processes.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and update patient records in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment options, procedures, and post-treatment care instructions.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in dentistry by participating in continuing education opportunities.
Skills
- Proficiency in using Dentrix and Dexis dental software for patient management and documentation.
- Extensive knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and healthcare diagnosis procedures.
- Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge relevant to oral structures and medical imaging techniques.
- Expertise in infection control practices and aseptic techniques within a clinical setting.
- Ability to perform dental fabrication tasks and manage dental office operations efficiently.
- Excellent patient communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards and state healthcare regulations governing medical records management.
